A New Year and a New weather tree… and we had unseasonably rainy days…
Christmas has past…
And summer is here in full force… which means pink evening skies…
And bedtimes stories under the stars…
And walks on the mountain…
And breakfast on the beach before school…
Summer berries…
And apple cobblers…
Plenty of games…
And marble running…
Preparing of feasts…
And little worlds…
And one of us is going places…
We have a house guest…
We have an impending house guest…
And would you look… A letter from Shirley Hughes!!!
Our Artwork of the Week:
And tons of library books have been read…
And we have moved onto book two in the series, Prince Caspian:
And this is what the Hoods got up to: Heaps of projects… everyone seems to be in the thick of busy-ness!!!
Hood #1: Inherited my camera and has shot about fifty million photographs since then…
Hood #2: Has a project requiring wood and tools and a I am sure that everything will eventually be revealed, but right now it is on the “hush-hush”!!!
Hood #3: Spent the last week immersed with Harry… book after book after book!!!
Hood #4: The feather collector…
Built himself a lego laptop, complete with portable flash drive!!!
Hood #5: Discovered that if you can follow a recipe then really you can work your way through any “How to instructions…” It was a bit of a relevation!!!
Hood #6: Made our first attempt at chocolate bark…
In a word or two: Grand success!!!
Hood #7: Was just her gorgeous self!!!
Hood #8: Has become my kitchen counter ally at all hours of the day or night…
And I am working like crazy on this year’s Sketchbook Project and it’s due on Tuesday… working… working… working…
Wow Hood #1 has certainly inherited his mother’s gift at photography. He might have to become your official blog-photograph-taker:)
