We were so excited to discover this book by Scott Bedford of What I Made Fame… How to make dozens of useful things, arty things, scientific things and all beautifully illustrated with heaps of details. Clever and kid-friendly contraptions and gadgets, all presented as wonderfully designed blueprints. This is the kind of book that you pore over for hours and hours, and after you have seen it you may never throw any recycling away because you will be using it all to create something totally awesome!!!

On Saturday 5 October the Santam Swartland Wine and Olive Route brings a farmer’s market to the Kirstenbosch Stone Cottages. Heaps of stalls filled with produce… bringing a taste of the country to town!!! Meet the winemakers and enjoy some wine tasting… and more important for the olive lover’s in our family… olive tasting, and an array of olive oils on show. A family day out in the country… in town!!!
