Lesson 3: Sauces
Recipe #1: Poached eggs with asparagus, sauce Hollandaise and vinaigrette
This was the featured recipe in this weeks class, and everyone wanted to make this for the father person. I cannot begin to explain how many Saturday mornings we have gone to the FoodBarn Deli for breakfast… so that the father person could enjoy his favourite breakfast of poached eggs with Hollandaise sauce. But alas, we could not find asparagus anywhere, and we will have to come back to this recipe further on down the line.
Recipe #2: Salad Niçoise with Vinaigrette
So we settled on the other recipe for this class, and it was a very good decision. We lined all our ingredients up…
There was a little prep…
Then a quick pause to make our vinaigrette…
In a jar because that’s the fun way…
Then we layered up our salad…
For the quickest, most delicious Sunday lunch ever…
Vinaigrette added and we may even have a new weekend lunch tradition.
