Saturday Spot: GreenPoint Park Again and Again…

December 26th, 2011 · 7 Comments

So where do you go and what do you when you haven’t had a car forever and you have one on Christmas Day… Well we avoided the beach traffic, and took our kids to the fabulous GreenPoint Park on the far side of town. Of course, it is one of the best places that Cape town has to offer!!! Heaps of open spaces to play and wonderful places to explore. And it is all free!!! We have shown you GreenPoint Park before but that was just the half of it!!!

We had to decide where to go…

And what to do…

We began by figuring out the time…

Finding the date…

And spotting the shadows..

And enlisting “the father person…”

Then we got on with a workout of note… because one must!!!

And on to the best playground in Cape town, by miles!!! I tell you if South Africa poured money into parks like these we would have a better country – a place where everybody can head out and picnic and play together in the great outdoors and did I mention it is free. So anybody can take a break from the rat race and come in and have a high quality play session!!!

[…] Near the end of the tour and this is a brilliant little corner to stop… We didn’t stop here this time, but when my kids saw all that was going on, well… there is mini-golf, the teeny tiny blue train, and of course out favourite park: Green Point Park. […]
