This is a week of extremely simple projects around here… as opposed to weeks of nothing after #8 arrives!!! So here we go the quickest easiest kid doable recipe in the whole wide world. This is what you are aiming for:

Let’s Meet the Players:
![DSC05376](http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3419/3945280139_a4d7fd4d56_m.jpg)
- A packet of puff pastry – that you have in your freezer of course!
- Some good quality chocolate
- Castor Sugar to Sprinkle
- A “little” flour for your work surface
Let’s Play the Game:
Step 1: Flour your surface and roll your pastry out a little thinner than it is in the packet. And cut it into equal size squares.
Step 2: They needn’t be squares you can really use any shape you like.
Step 3: Break your chocolate up into bits that fit well inside your shapes and put a piece of chocolate onto every other piece of pastry.

Or every piece!
![DSC05399](http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2610/3945262255_712c051b9a_m.jpg)
Or just eat it!

Step 4: Pop a bit of water on a pastry brush – or your finger… and run it around the edge of your pastry:

Step 5: Stick another piece of pastry on top of the chocoloate centered piece.
Step 6: “Walk” around the edge of your shape with a fork. And pop your pies onto a baking tray.

step 7: Sprinkle your pastry pies with castor sugar or dusting sugar.
We had very little yield!!! And a lot of pre-baked consumption!!! That being said – everyone was quiet, busy and happy and for that I am willing to forgo the yield!!!
We placed the baking tray’s into a hot oven 200 degrees Celsius (about 400 degrees Fahrenheit)…

And after a wipe of the table and a bit more of a wipe…

Your pastry pies should be golden brown and crispy:

And ready to munch:

If for some strange twist of fate you can not face chocolate within your pastry pies – well: jam, raisins, mashed banana, grated cheese, bacon, whatever else you can think of works a treat!!!
Have Fun and Bon Apetito!!!
