We were keeping with our Autumn theme and decided to try making toffee apples. I have never made them before – I thought they were really tricky, turns out they were really easy!!! This is what you are aiming for:

Step 3: Bring it to the boil and let it bubble away without stirring for about ten minutes. Amazingly it doesn’t boil over.

Step 4: While you are waiting poke a stick into each of your apples.

Step 5: Drop your toffee into a glass of cold water and it should solidify straight away. If it doesn’t then just keep on boiling your mixture a little longer.

Oh KM – here’s a laugh for you…while our wonderful toffee apples were cooling the father person made some chili oil, right next to them… somehow our toffee apples had quite a “Bite” to them… So take munch of toffee apple and it is so yummy and crunchy and then 30 seconds later our mouths were literally in flames!!! Very funny. some small people went for it and some didn’t!!! We will have to make them again!!!… and again and again!!! Lots of love…
