What can I say, we lived in Kalk Bay when we were newly weds and we just can’t get enough of this little seaside town…
We always said we would be back here and for now it is in the form of Saturday morning ambles…

After a couple of weeks on leave The Father Person is returning to work on Monday… everyone was feeling just a little grim about it and so we needed a pick-me-up… and I am not afraid to announce: “ice-cream for breakfast.”

Followed by a wander through the stalls and stores…

And lots for everyone to look at…

And a bounce into the bookshop… as one must!!!

And don’t you love a bookshop with places to actually read!!!

A table and chairs…

And beautiful books…

And hand a child a phone while your hands are full and now we have a book wish list!!! Everyone wants to know who Claude is!!!

And a trip to the bakery…

For a snack…

Street racing for folk that had enough of poking around in stores saying look at this and look at that…

A trail through the streets above town…

Think how fit I would be if I had to clamber up and down these stairs for a fine coffee!!!

And I could live off Ponder Road…

Though it isn’t a road at all, just a whole lot more stairs!!! Gasp!!!

We imagined living in these huge houses… I think even we would find ourselves a little lost!!!

And this one was a blank slate… garden cleared and ready for renovation… yes we could imagine many lovely projects!!!

And then a linger in the park…

As… bounce

One… bounce

Must… bounce!!!

Where our kids so love the merry-go-round… and I have to say their quest for speed leaves me gasping for air and looking away and lesser hearted parents gathering their children away for snacks… until mine are quite done with their escapades…

And then it was time to head home… past the shark…

The flags…

And the train…

And the harbour…

Hope you all had a fun weekend!!!

Those are serious icecreams! And Claude – he’s ADORABLE!
Hay Zoe, Thanks for stopping by … we love those ice-creams… normally a birthday treat but the time was right!!! We haven’t met Claude before… hoping our library will produce a Claude book for us really soon!!! Hope you have a great week!!!
