One thing about our grim wintry weather is that it does bring on the best possible surfing…

A number of my readers contacted me to say that our blog hasn’t been uploading. I am so sorry about that, especially since I have been blogging away as usual!!! The problem is hopefully fixed, and I am so grateful to you all for letting me know!!! And here is a list of our se7en + 1th most recent posts for those of you who may have missed them…

  6. Something to Listen too: If you aren’t following Michael Hyatt, who writes/speaks about intentional leadership then I can highly recommend that you start following along: Here’s a great post of his from this week Why Speaking Well of Your Spouse is so Important… And his podcasts are packed with incredible tips – so much so that I have been listening and re-listening to them with my teens, because they are full of really great life-lessons: this weeks Podcast: Why you – Yes, You! Should Consider Writing a Book. He makes it all seem possible… of course he didn’t answer my question… of all the things I write about… what should I write a book about. You would think after year of blogging I would have discovered my topic already, something would spring to mind – but no, none of that!!!
  7. Something to read: And if you are looking for an interesting read then this one…How Constant Screen Time Affects our Lives… on the Gospel Coalition is a really interesting one…
  8. And the se7en + 1th link:

  9. A Blast From the Past:

And what is on the coffee table this week? About a bazillion books from the library… and the one that is being read and re-read every day is:

Thank you Mr. Falker is the story of a young girl, Trisha, who is so excited about school and learning… and then really battles to read. She is teased and bullied at school and eventually believes that she must be “dumb” and then an exceptional and inspiring teacher arrives in her school and goes the extra mile. Spending hours and effort with her, he recognises her talent… This book is poignant and sad and inspiring all at once… because at the end of the book you discover that the author is indeed Trisha, and this is her story. This book is sweet and uplifting and for one or two of my kids who have taken longer to read than their peers this book is an inspiration – they have read it again and again – not only does she go on to read, but she becomes a writer too… What can I say, this book is just lovely and I am happy to read it again and again.

And that’s us!!! So hoping your weekend is fab. Lots of love from the gang at Se7en + 1…
