At Last We Spotted Zebra in Cape Point Nature Reserve…

So we needed a day off the grid and where better to go than the beautiful Cape Point…

A little “Skorkling” as my kids say…

And then we were off on a quick hike…

A very easy route, that we haven’t taken before…

To one of our favourite spots, Sirkelsvlei…

We have never seen Sirkelslvei from this side… and everyone knew they would have to dive in for a swim as soon as they saw it.

And that was us… another hike under our belts…

We weren’t the only ones who needed a day in the great outdoors…

We have never ever seen so many baboons out all at once before. All that was totally burnt out at the beginning of the year, is now covered in bright green and fresh growth. A veritable feast…

After more than two years of hiking and searching high and low, were very surprised and delighted to discover the zebra…

I might have been a little snap happy and taken many more than enough photographs – we were that excited!!!

Striking as they are… they are surprisingly well camouflaged…

And then up close, you can’t believe that you missed them…

And that was us… refreshed and ready to take on the world again.
