My summer of swimming is coming to end this week.

My final event of the summer was this past Saturday, the Chapman’s Peak Meander, 3 miles in the freezing cold, and it definitely felt a lot more like winter!!!

This has been the mad summer that I entered every possible event on the calendar that I could… and I am donating ALL my swims to a great cause: The I AM WATER Foundation which is an organisation that teaches young children, from the greater Cape Town area, to love the ocean and to become the ocean ambassadors of tomorrow…

Please can you help me, for the price of a coffee you could send a child on a two day workshop, where they are immersed in the great outdoors and have a completely thrilling and life changing ocean experience. They learn about rocky shores, they learn about the environment, they spend time snorkelling, they get a healthy lunch.

It is a great experience that exposes underprivileged children to an aspect of life they would never see otherwise. This is a life changing experience for many of these children and I would like to gift as many of them as possible.

Would You Consider donating the price of a Cup of Coffee to My Great Cause:

That’s about 60km of event swimming this past summer. I am trying to raise R150 per kilometre of swimming, which is (about £7/$8 depending on where you are in the world).

I love the ocean so much, and I would love your help to pass the batton onto the next generation of ocean ambassadors…
