This is the week that I noticed that things around here have upped a gear lately and I wasn’t really watching… From a long lazy summer to doing school and outings and ERRANDS…where did all the errands come from!!! Hello I am not an errand kind of girl, but we sure have been doing them… I could have written a week that was post everyday, seriously I need to do some delegating!!! Anyway it helped to have a day or two of rain – you might not know it but their are people in the world that don’t go out when it rains, they stay home and read. We are them!!!
Autumn is definitely here. It is very crispy and cool and the days never seem long enough. The kids are still swimming every couple of days – albeit very quickly, and I keep wondering when they are going to call it quits for the year!!!
So we had baking…
and painting…
Repairs…
There was even rocket science:
And everyone is having babies, so tie dyes:
Breakfast was late so we learnt how to do star jumps, actually I am not too sure what that creature in purple is doing at all!!!:
And lunch was late so the girls had a pretend Tea Party:
And supper was late and the boys had an impromptu jam session (and the creature in purple was back):
Otherwise there were stories with friends:
Zoob specs and Zoob shoes:
A heap of hide and seek:
Meeting friends for missed birthdays:
And school:
There were outings:
And new jeans, and tasty keys:
There was a last minute flurry on Friday night in the hopes of some pocket money…
And we are on a geography kick!!! Since someone is learning about houses and homes around the world for school our book of the week has to be this fabulous book:
Hood #1: Did school and is loving Grade Se7en… and is still working woth joy long after everyone else has left the table, Yay!!!! (Can you tell it’s getting cooler!!!).
Hood #2: Taught his sister some dancing (like she needs teaching!!!) and dealt with a coconut…
Hood #3: Managed to interrupt her reading schedule to do some school.
Hood #4: I assume this was him opposite me at the breakfast table.
And he did a whole lot of magnetic science.
Hood #5: There was total concentration.
Hood #6: Took a slight break from her reading obsession and I sense a puzzle obsession might be replacing it!!!
Tells me: “Last day when she was an adult she went to the shops without me and had real coffee…”
Hood #7: Was caught stealing beds again and found the moon.
How cute is this:
Hood #8: Is no longer content to be crawling around…
He wants to be up… UP I say!!! Then he is happy.
That’s us… And this week doesn’t look like it’s letting up!!! Hope you have a great week!!!
We are those people, too!
I love staying home and enjoying rainy days!
Hi D, We had a lecturer at varsity who could never understand why on earth her class was empty on certain days (E.M.P.T.Y.) and it appeared to be random, not a day of the week or anything!!! Turns out our University is at the top of a very long steep hill and not a single student in the class was prepared to venture up that hill on a rainy day!!! Thanks for stopping by, hope you have a good week!!!
I love that FIRST picture!!!!!!!! I’m with you too on the staying home thing— I love to cozy up with an art project (or six) and a book. :):)
You are just truly amazing. Really, you inspire me. Some days I feel so worn out with a 1-year-old and a 4-year-old. I have no idea how you do it, but I’ll be referring to your example more often. Thank you!
Hay KM, And I want to go to the store with you guys!!! You are so right, happiness can be found anywhere!!! Have a fabulous fun week!!!
