The sun came out and so did we!!! We went in search of Spring… The thing about Cape Town is that you can escape really quickly from the hum drum of city life… we have a mountain after all. We headed for Silvermine on a glorious day…

And we were soon away from it all in the mountains…

Can you tell it has been weeks and weeks of wintry weather…

The dam was calm…

And the dam was clear…

And a large rocky beast watched over our walk…

And the clouds lurked…

We chatted with the ducks…

But they swam away!!!

We found tree stumps…

We poked about…

Seriously poked about!!!

We listened to frogs…

We searched for spiders…

We looked high…

And we looked low…

We peered through the woods…

We peered at everything…

All the people that I love the most caught in one photograph…

We explored some more…

We rested…

We watched the fish…

Munch on the bread crumbs…

And we looked around a little bit more…

Until the sun started to go down…

And then we found some spring…

We had been…

Wandering through…

The flowers…

All along…

Welcome Spring – we sure have missed you!!!

Indeed – I can see Spring at he side of the highways and byways – not always the safest places to stop to take pictures, but they do bring a smile to my face…
